Here John is called a prophet of God. Not only was he a prophet, but he was also above those before him because of the unique role that God had given him before he was born (see Matthew 11:9-11 & Malachi 3:1-5).
Everything that came about, Elizabeth, who was barren, got pregnant, Zechariah being mute, and the words of praise that were said got the people wondering; what was God going to do with their child (John the baptist).
Pride dwelling in a person’s heart keeps them away from coming to the knowledge of Jesus Christ for salvation.
The angel, Gabriel, told Mary to name her Son, Jesus, after His birth. The name of the Son of God has great significance due to His purpose on earth and reveals who He is.
The word “vision” indicates a real encounter with a spiritual being, either with God Himself, an angel, or a demon, who will reveal themselves to the individual alone.
Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John were not the only ones who undertook the task to write down the events and life of Jesus Christ.
I will be starting with verse by verse through the Book Of Luke on 7/7/2020. It will be a task of its own but with the help of the Holy Spirit, it shall be completed.
