Daniel was praying and fasting for three weeks, seeking to hear from the Lord about his people, the Israelites. The moment Daniel decided to humble himself before the Lord and prayed to understand, God dispatched an angel to give Daniel the revelation concerning his request.
David was facing a man with an impressive stature of 9 feet 9 inches named Goliath, a warrior of warriors (see vs. 4). David had the impossible task of taking down a man, who was bigger and stronger than him, with more experience on the battlefield.
The Jehovah’s Witnesses claim or interpret the word “firstborn” as being created. The word could mean that, but it does have another meaning, like preeminence: to be the chief or have the first place. When we read a passage, it cannot be isolated from the rest of its context.
