The Armor Of God Devotional: The Last Weapon Is Prayer (Part 9-The Finale)

With every prayer and request, pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be alert with all perseverance and every request for all the saints -Ephesians 6:18 NASB

Without prayer embedded into your armor, you will depend less on the Lord and more on your abilities to overcome demonic attacks, making the rest of your armor useless. Jesus said in Matthew 26:41, “Keep watching and praying, so that you do not come into temptation; the spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.”

Prayer is asking the Lord for help and strength to overcome the enemy’s attack and to help you see their traps, keeping you safe. If we read Scripture, evangelize, help others, and etc., but don’t have a life of prayer, we won’t get too far in our walk with the Lord. It keeps us in communication with the Lord, making it vital in strengthening our faith.

Prayer to the full armor of God is like glue, without it, everything falls apart.
