Because you have kept My command to persevere, I will also keep you from the hour of testing that is about to come upon the whole world, to test those who dwell on the earth. And to await His Son from heaven, whom He raised from the dead—Jesus our deliverer from the coming wrath. The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness.
For God has not appointed us to suffer wrath, but to obtain salvation through our Lord Jesus Christ. No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will be the first to rise. After that, we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will always be with the Lord.
Let no one deceive you in any way, for it will not come until the rebellion occurs and the man of lawlessness—the son of destruction—is revealed. And he will confirm a covenant with many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put an end to sacrifice and offering. And on the wing of the temple will come the abomination that causes desolation, until the decreed destruction is poured out upon him. And the second beast required all people small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, so that no one could buy or sell unless he had the mark—the name of the beast or the number of its name.
While people are saying, “Peace and security,” destruction will come upon them suddenly, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. And you know what is now restraining him, so that he may be revealed at the proper time. For the mystery of lawlessness is already at work, but the one who now restrains it will continue until he is taken out of the way. Therefore encourage one another with these words.

All the references above were put together (related to the coming of the Lord), so that you can see what the Scriptures says about the rapture of the church with a different perspective or view point.
Our desire should be for the return of Jesus Christ…“From now on there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day—and not only to me, but to all who crave His appearing.” -2 Timothy 4:8
There’s a lot of deception happening in the world, keeping believers busy on the things of the world instead of the things of Christ and His return, so the Christians aren’t looking up…“When these things begin to happen, stand up and lift up your heads, because your redemption is drawing near.” -Luke 21:28
We have to desire the return of Jesus Christ because it will keep our minds on the alert, busying ourselves in God’s work before He comes.
