There is a spiritual warfare going on in WordPress and on other media outlets for the souls of mankind. Believers in Jesus Christ have to continue the good fight, getting out to the people the Word of God. We are living in a time where our free speech is being suppressed by shadow-banning and through other means.
I know that we as Christians can get discouraged at times because we don’t see the impact that our posts are doing in people’s lives. I would like to illustrate what happens when you preach God’s Word through your post.
The gospel can be illustrated to that of a grenade. Let’s say that you take out the pin from the grenade and throw it into a room then walk away, not hearing the explosion or even seeing the impact that it will cause. Even though we cannot see the impact that we are doing when we are spreading the Word of God through our posts, know for certain that just like a grenade which explodes, and changes the structure of the room, so the gospel when it is read in our posts will change a person from within.
For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, even penetrating as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart.
-Hebrews 4:12, NASB
Keyword: Active
The Greek word for “active” is “energés”, it is where we get the word energy. God’s Word is like a grenade that is full of energy, ready to come out after activated by pulling out the pin.
A grenade contains words with messages, for good or for bad. If what you are preaching is the truth of God’s Word, then your grenade is filled with the gospel of Jesus Christ (medicine for the soul), once it explodes, it will make a difference, healing the person. If your grenade, in the other hand, is filled with false doctrine, or hatred, it will destroy lives.
Believers must continue to preach the message of Jesus Christ in the platforms that God has given us. The return of Jesus Christ is so near that we have to bring as much people to Jesus as possible, so that they won’t go through the Great Tribulation, and even worse, hell.
19 Go, therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to follow all that I commanded you; and behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
-Matthew 28:19-20, NASB
We are commanded to make followers of Jesus Christ by presenting the gospel to them. After their conversion, we mush help them with their walk with the Lord by teaching the Scriptures to them in a plain way.
Amen!
Glad you are on WordPress for this fight for souls; thanks also for your comment just now on the blog
You said some encouraging words my brother. I appreciated that like the rest of the commenters on your post.
God bless you
Thank you, my brother. I pray that Jesus may continue to use your ministry to bring people to salvation in Jesus Christ.
I hope the Lord use both of us in that way, the world has soo many souls that need Jesus!
So true.
Praise God for your blog
Your blog is vital for today. Remember to stand up for the truth no matter if others get offended. May the Lord bless you.
Amen thank you for that encouragement
I love this post, especially the grenade illustration! It really does encourage me, God bless you brother.
I’m glad to hear that the post was a blessing to you, Alan. Just know that you and I are being used by the Lord to bring people to Him.
I found this to be an interesting introduction . What do you think?
What the person wrote sounds off when compared with Ephesians 6:10-18. It seems to focus—in the about section—on oneself rather than Christ who is our strength and armor. The armor of God has to do with our obedience to the Word of God.
