A Challenge For All Atheists

This is for all the atheists that are sincere in their search for the existence of God.

Jeremiah 29:13

You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.

The phrase “all your heart” means to come to God (this is for an atheist) in prayer with the intent of finding out the truth about Him.

The question that you as an atheist should ask yourself is “Am I willing to go where the truth leads me if I like it or not?”

If God reveals Himself to you and you know now that the Scriptures are true, are you willing to follow the truth, Jesus Christ?

We all have a choice to make when the truth (Jesus Christ) is revealed to us. To follow Him or not and continue a life of blatant rejection of Jesus Christ.

Some atheists have already made up their minds and mockery is their foreplay but for the sincere ones who really want to know, I give you guys these 5 challenges:

  1. Ask the Lord in prayer to reveal Himself to you and to give you the faith that’s necessary to believe when He does. *Note (bottom)
  2. Don’t give up until He does.
  3. Tell Him that if He reveals Himself to you, you will follow Him (you have to mean it).
  4. To change your heart.
  5. To give you His Spirit.

God gives you His promise that if you truly seek Him from the heart to really know the truth about Him, He will reveal Himself to you.

Are you willing to do that?

*Note The reason why I said to ask Jesus for faith is that seeing a miracle or a vision of Jesus, does not guarantee that you will give your life to Christ.

  1. This is a very thought-provoking post, SpaniardVIII and I like it because you asked the question: If God reveals Himself to you and you know now that the Scriptures are true, are you willing to follow the truth, Jesus Christ?” That question should be given so that those who are atheists yet want to know God and if the Scriptures are true can have an experience that could potentially change the way they live and who they are living for.

That is why, if an atheist wants to know God for him/herself, they need to first acknowledge to themselves in their hearts that they would be willing to follow Him; even if it takes time.

    1. Joshua, you said it eloquently. What good is it if they want God to reveal Himself to them with the purpose of not following Him? If that is their intention then they will never experience the Lord.

      1. I agree. In my opinion, I think it might have something to do with their struggle between their atheist-mindset and the knowledge that there may be a God, but sometimes, our inclination to be comfortable can keep us from seeking the truth; in regards to the atheist it may just be that they are comfortable in the rejection of God.

        1. That makes sense. To add to what you said I believe that they don’t want to let go of their sinful lifestyle and feel guilty doing it. That is why they frantically are trying to convince themselves that God isn’t real.

  2. Very good advice here, SpaniardVIII. God will make Himself known to any person, who seeks Him with a sincere heart.

I’ve encountered a lot of Atheists online, whom I can tell by their comments, that they are well educated, however I’m confident that they are struggling with some things in their life; And I know God can help them if they’d only have the courage to seek Him.

I would encourage any Atheist or Agnostic, who happens to read this post, to examine their life, and be completely honest with themselves about whether their current lifestyle is bringing them true peace and happiness; And then they should follow the advice you’ve given here.

    1. I appreciate what you said Marques and you are right on the money with this “however I’m confident that they are struggling with some things in their life; And I know God can help them if they’d only have the courage to seek Him.

Their family, jobs, friends or their situation could be keeping them from truly accepting the evidence that God has provided for humanity as seen in Romans 1:18-20 that He exists because of a possibility of losing those things mentioned above.

I don’t believe any atheist when they say there is no evidence of God’s existence because all you have to do is look up at night and see the stars. To me personally, the stars are like God’s footprints on the sand. You can be on a deserted beach but once you see some footprints you know that you are not alone even though you haven’t seen anyone their footprints show that they are there.

Thanks, Marques for commenting and I do hope as I know you do too that they will really from the heart ask Jesus to speak to them in such a way that it will be for them crystal clear that Jesus is not only is real but loves them very much.

      1. “I don’t believe any atheist when they say there is no evidence of God’s existence because all you have to do is look up at night and see the stars”. If that’s ‘evidence’, then you’re saying that the existence of objects points to only one viable cause? It looks like you’ve made a non-sequitur argument these.

          1. There isn’t any irrefutable evidence that points to any god. I’m not a liar and you have no reason to call me one.

          2. A liar is a person spreading something false knowing full well that it is a lie. I did not call you that, I said that atheists are lying to themselves which means that deep down inside you know that a created thing has to have a creator period. You are convincing yourself that nothing can create, that is lying to oneself even though creation is staring you in the face.

          3. I know what ‘liar’ means, thanks.
I don’t ‘know fer down inside’ your ideology is true because there is no evidence. Added to that, the ideas christians claim are so far removed from the real world that they sound absurd, contradictory and impossible.

          4. You got to be kidding me. Explain to me essiep how can “nothing” create time, space, matter and laws which governs the universe? Are you seriously saying that complexity that comprises of the sun, the moon, the stars and our planet with people, all kinds of animals on land and sea, poofed out of thin air from “nothing”? That is absurd.

          5. You conjured up the word ‘nothing’ not me. It’s best to avoid straw-man arguments if you want any respect. So yes, you’re right, that idea is absurd. But then again, I didn’t suggest it.
I don’t know how the universe came into being and neither do you.

          6. You have me completely confused, I’m not looking to earn your respect or to exalt myself above anyone. It’s not about me. My blog if you would take a tour is about Jesus Christ. I’m here to exalt the Lord Jesus and to share the good news that He died in your place on the cross for your sins and on the third day He rose from the grave. I am here to tell you essiep, that your sins can be forgiven through faith Jesus. Jesus loves you very much and wants a relationship with you essiep. It doesn’t matter if I earn your respect, what matters is that you get to hear the good news. It is your decision to accept Jesus or not. I pray that you do because you don’t know if you have tomorrow.

          7. What sins have you got in mind?
You claim to know me better than I do; sins and lies that I tell myself (neither of which I knew about).

          8. Well, essiep, is stealing bad?, Is lying bad?, Hurting someone wrong?, I mean I can go on and on but you get the point. Sin means to go against God or to reject God’s standard of living holy lives. That can only be done and I don’t mean in perfection, by having the Holy Spirit living inside of you. By placing your faith in Jesus Christ, He will give you His Spirit who will change your heart to have a desire to live a life that pleases God. To please God is to love Him with all your heart, soul and mind and to love your neighbor as yourself. If someone does something bad to you, you won’t repay him back with evil. That type of heart can only be changed through faith in Jesus Christ. I invite you essiep today, to put your faith in Jesus, in what He did for you on the cross.

            Romans 5:6-8
6 For while we were still weak, at the right time Christ died for the ungodly. 7 For one will scarcely die for a righteous person—though perhaps for a good person one would dare even to die— 8 but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

  3. There is no god. Done and dusted decades ago for me. Why bother flogging a dead horse?
I have freed myself from the straitjacket of religion and now live a more truthful life.
