Spiritual Landmines: Being Gay is OK

2 Thessalonians 2:3
Don’t let anyone deceive you in any way. For that day will not come unless the apostasy comes first and the man of lawlessness is revealed, the son of destruction.

Apostasy in Greek is Apostasia which means; “leave, depart,” which is derived from 575 /apó, “away from” and 2476 /histémi, “stand”) – properly, departure (implying desertion); apostasy – literally, “a leaving, from a previous standing.” Strong’s #646

Those in the Christian world who “believe” that being gay is OK has stepped into a gigantic Landmine and is in absolute danger of being forever blown up to spiritual pieces. One of the biggest Landmines that Christians are facing today is homosexuality. The churches are being pressured to affirm this lifestyle, embrace it as not being sinful therefore apostatizing.

Landmines: A bomb hidden under the ground that explodes when a person or vehicle moves over it. –Macmillan Dictionary

The world/society is entering into our churches by the direction of demons and placing landmines all over for those who are close to salvation but haven’t yet decided to give their lives to Jesus, who happen to move over and step on a mine and destroy their chances in getting saved as found in 2 Corinthians 11:3 which says, “But I fear that, as the serpent deceived Eve by his cunning, your minds may be seduced from a complete and pure devotion to Christ.”

The only thing that Satan and his fallen angels desire from you is your immediate destruction.

To detect a Landmine one must train in what to look for and see anything on the ground that looks out of place that could be a potential bomb waiting for you to step on. Christians must read God’s Word daily to spot deception heading their way so they won’t step on it and die spiritually or get handicapped (living in a state of sin) and render the believer for a time useless until they repent and get right with God.

2 Peter 2:20-21
20 For if, having escaped the world’s impurity through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in these things and defeated, the last state is worse for them than the first. 21 For it would have been better for them not to have known the way of righteousness than, after knowing it, to turn back from the holy command delivered to them.

  1. My Pastor does state that it is wrong and it is a sin BUT he will say he won’t hate someone for their sin. I had a hard time understanding this after I came to know Christ and His word. But as I pressed on i understood fully how society is pushing it on our lives etc with these laws etc. Pastor said they can pass any law they want but God is still God and His word is still the truth. Amen!!!

    1. Your pastor is correct in not hating sinners since Jesus told us to love our enemies. In Jude 22-23 says, ” 22 Have mercy on those who doubt; 23 save others by snatching them from the fire; have mercy on others but with fear, hating even the garment defiled by the flesh.”
As you can see in the verses above that we should have mercy by showing love through snatching them from the fire by telling them the gospel. Hating their sin but loving the person. You must hate their sin so you won’t be tempted in falling in it yourself. As Christians we must love everyone like Christ loved us through the cross. Those who stand for Truth hates sin but loves the soul of those who are perishing. Love drives you and I to tell them that they are in danger of hell if they don’t repent. Your pastor sounds very sound and wise.

  2. I’m glad that you have a good pastor, sadly there’s many pastors affirming homosexuality and damning their congregation along side them. Thanks for your comments it’s much appreciated.

  3. Hi Spaniard,

95% of any population is heterosexual so they marry someone of the opposite sex. About 3-5% of persons are either same-sex oriented or bisexual. Most of these seem to have been born that way. So why would we want to deny them the right to marry? How would this affect my marriage to my wife or any other heterosexual marriage?

    Have a great day!

  4. A great blog post. When you said in your post, “To detect a Landmine one must train in what to look for and see anything on the ground that looks out of place that could be a potential bomb waiting for you to step on.”

I agree. Until we as Christians learn to deduce and recognize the traps of homosexuality; we will continue to step on these landmines until we spiritual die.

    1. That’s right, many churches are committing apostasy by accepting the lifestyle as acceptable to God which the Bible is very clear on the matter, it is sinful. Thanks for following me, I will check your blog out.
