Our blessed Hope in the afterlife

Revelation 21:4

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes. Death will no longer exist; grief, crying, and pain will exist no longer, because the previous things have passed away.

What keeps the believers in Jesus Christ trekking forward? Knowing that we will be with Jesus for an eternity without death, pain and all of the headaches that accompany this present state in which we live. Hope is what keeps us fighting the good fight because hope is found only in scriptures as stated in Psalms 130:5, I wait for Yahweh; I wait and put my hope in His word.” His Word promises us that by putting our faith in Jesus as our Lord and savior he will give us eternal life and that spurs us to fight for the faith as found in 1 Timothy 6:12, “Fight the good fight for the faith; take hold of eternal life that you were called to and have made a good confession about in the presence of many witnesses.” Hell is the antithesis of heaven which is as real and many will go there. It should motivate us by the direction of the Holy Spirit to tell people about Jesus’ salvation that He offers to everyone. Every evil thing that brings pain, grief and so forth that is absent in heaven will be present in hell to those who reject Jesus. If you have any friends and family members who don’t know Christ, pray for their salvation and if Jesus gives you the opportunity to preach to them, take it because it could be their last chance to hear the gospel.

  1. I pray for them all the time even after I know they talk about me because of who I once was and they think I’m pretending..whatever that means. I wish they could use me and see how Great He is. If He changed me He can change anyone.

    1. This is why your family doesn’t believe you.

      Matthew 13:57
And they were offended by Him. But Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor except in his hometown and in his household.”

Since your family knows all of your past which includes the good and the bad, its difficult for them to comprehend that one in their family members could actually change for the better. Don’t let them bother you just continue to show them Jesus in you.
